I also reserved my first bannie egg a week ago so I was very happy and egg cited over that.
Next on our list was butchering some roosters that we have had for 10 weeks, Now mind you this was our first time. I figured it would be worse then it was. I was in charge of cleaning out the insides....Yummy! (NOT). I watched the first one as hubby killed him and got to dunk and pull off the feathers, Then in the house I went. Kyle joined me so he could learn how to clean too and he did the last roo. My father in law also gave me a lesson in cleaning gizzards which I found out my husband likes....Have never tried. May never try either. Kyle did an awesome job. I was very proud of myself and him.
Now for the exciting news!!!!!
Spida has finally arrived here at Dew Drop Farm. YAY!!! I was so happy when we brought her home not only was I getting another goat but a friend for Tucker who arrived last month.(5 weeks old) Now all my friends know that from being bottle fed only by me he is literally up my butt. So Spida was a big help in that area. She was not bottle fed so we have some work to do with her. All she needs is some TLC which here we have PLENTY to go around. Now June Lavender will also be joining us here too. She is also a little over a year and should be with kid, So that will be exciting. Now on to the BIG BIG news!!!
Dew Drop Farm will be moving!!!
We just purchased five and a half acres about 20 mins south west of here. Here we only have half an acre. We are so excited!! It will be so much work but worth all of the sweat and tears we put into it. We will someday have land to pass on to our children. We will start our move sometime next year after we put in septic, well, light pole and have our trailer moved. I just cant contain myself......My life feels like it is falling into place. I learned that when you feel like your path is blocked and you feel like there is no way out you have to have faith in yourself and your family and to God, Because for whatever reason another path was shown to us.
We also have planted our garden for this year. It is filled this year. We have planted Tomato's, Spinach, Zucchini, Yellow squash, Butternut squash, Eggplant, Banana peppers, Frying peppers, 8 different types of herbs, 5 different types of beans and peas, Pumpkin, Beets, Onions, Parsnips, Turnips and I think a few other things. So come fall we will have a filled pantry and freezer full of plenty of food!
I also have joined Eggzy.net so if you need any eggs it will tell you how many you have available in a virtual egg stand! Cool Huh!

Your new land looks so wonderful... I'm sure all you are gonna love when you finally get to move there! So much to explore :)
